  • NTC provides automation solutions for VungAng 1 Thermal Power Plant

     

    On August 17th, NTC has signed two contracts with VungAng 1 Thermal Power Plant Project, which is to provide building management ,valve and transmission system. 

     


    Further information about VungAng 1 Thermal Power Plant Project:

    Investor: Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.

    Location: VungAng Economic Area, KyAnh District, HaTinh Province.

    Total investment: 1.242 million USD. It is expected to be in operation in 2012. This is the largest thermal power plant projects currently in the central region of Vietnam and is one of four plants of VungAng thermal power center that is in the course of construction. 

    VungAng 1 thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,200 MW with 2 units built in KyLoi, KyAnh district, HaTinh province. Using G7 nations’ Coal-fired Thermal Power technology, it produces coal dust and domestic coal with the consumption up to 2,9 million tons/year.

    When being in operation, the plant will contribute to the national grid of 7.2 billion kWh/year, sales of $ 289 million / year (equivalent to about 4,900 billion VND). 

    The Prime Minister approved this project  in the VI General diagram about National electricity development plan for 2006-2015 period to 2025 and allowed to apply a specific mechanism to construct urgent works for 2006-2010 period (According to Decision No. 1195/QD-TTg on Nov 19th,2005). 

    VungAng 1 thermal power plant is going to provide a relatively large amount of power, thus contributing to solve the shortage of national electric power systems for 2006-2015 period and ensuring energy security for Vietnam modernization and industrialization.
